Role Overview – Warehouse Assistant

As a Warehouse Assistant, you will play a critical part in the efficient day-to-day operations of our Penrose facility. This role will see you working collaboratively within a team environment where your responsibilities will span inward and outward goods processing, order picking, packing, stock control, yard maintenance, and local deliveries. You’ll be contributing directly to the successful and timely delivery of goods to our customers across the greater Auckland region. Key Responsibilities for Warehouse Assistant – Join

You will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including:

Inventory & Stock Management

  • Receiving, checking, and sorting incoming stock with care

  • Maintaining accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems

  • Conducting stocktakes and cycle counts

  • Identifying and reporting stock discrepancies

Order Fulfillment

  • Picking and packing orders to meet accuracy and safety standards

  • Coordinating with sales and customer service for urgent requests

  • Ensuring all items are prepared to meet customer and company expectations

Shipping & Receiving

  • Managing inbound and outbound freight

  • Labeling and handling stock efficiently

  • Liaising with logistics providers to ensure timely dispatch

Warehouse Maintenance

  • Keeping work areas clean and organized

  • Following health and safety procedures

  • Assisting in the care and maintenance of tools and machinery

Driving & Local Deliveries

  • Delivering goods across the Auckland region

  • Loading/unloading stock securely

  • Representing Hydroflow with professionalism on every delivery

Ideal Candidate Profile

We’re looking for someone who brings energy, reliability, and attention to detail. You should have:

  • A strong work ethic with a collaborative attitude

  • Punctuality and excellent time-management skills

  • A valid New Zealand driver’s license and a clean driving record

  • Forklift and/or reach truck experience (preferred but not essential)

  • A safety-first mindset and willingness to learn

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • The ability to lift and move heavy items

  • Experience using inventory or logistics software (a plus)
