This position is based in our Lexington, KY office and offers a flexible work-from-home option for part of the work week.

Position Summary

We’re looking for a Visual Storyteller to join our team, bringing CSG’s impact and mission to life through compelling visual narratives. In this role, you’ll collaborate with the Communications team to produce, edit, and distribute high-quality video content. You’ll have the opportunity to travel across the country to capture and showcase stories from our members and events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creative Concepting & Storytelling: Collaborate with the Communications team to conceptualize and create visual stories that align with the CSG brand.
  • Video Production: Plan, shoot, and direct video content, ensuring the highest quality. This includes operating cameras, lighting, and audio equipment.
  • Editing & Post-Production: Use software like Adobe Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro to produce polished, engaging videos. Add graphics, music, and effects to enhance storytelling.
  • Content Planning: Work closely with team members to align video content with organizational goals and campaign timelines.
  • On-Site Coverage: Travel to capture footage at events, state capitols, and other locations as needed.
  • Equipment Management: Maintain video production equipment to ensure it’s always in optimal condition for studio and location shoots.
  • Brand Alignment: Adhere to CSG’s branding standards across all visual content.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and production tools like After Effects and DaVinci Resolve.
  • Creative Vision: Ability to generate original, visually compelling content.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with DSLR cameras, drones, gimbals, and audio recording.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to work effectively within a team and engage with diverse individuals.

Education & Experience

  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Multimedia Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years in video production, concept development, shooting, and editing.

Salary & Benefits

CSG is committed to pay equity and transparency. Compensation is based on experience and is set within a range of $50,000 to $60,000 annually.
