Role Overview – Vegetable Pickers
As a Vegetable Picker, your responsibilities will include:
- Work Schedule: Starting at 6:00 AM and finishing up to 6:00 PM on a 6-day roster (Monday to Saturday). Initial work duration is approximately 2 months, with longer-term opportunities available for suitable candidates.
- Harvesting Duties:
- Picking vegetables from the ground in outdoor settings.
- Cutting vegetables to prepare them for packaging.
- Lifting bins weighing up to 15 kg to designated areas.
- Conducting inspections to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
Candidate Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience: Ability to accurately pick vegetables based on specified criteria, including color, maturity, and quality.
- Productivity: Capability to work efficiently to meet productivity targets.
- Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of safety procedures and protocols, with attention to detail.
- Communication Skills: Good communication abilities to report issues and coordinate with team members.
- Transport: A reliable means of transportation to commute to work each day, as no public transport is available near the work location.
