At our Christchurch facility, we take pride in preparing freshly made meals and assembling a variety of catering supplies that are subsequently loaded onto departing aircraft.
We are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our Christchurch team in the vital role of Storeperson. This position is critical in ensuring the efficient management of inwards goods, maintaining stock availability, and supporting the smooth functioning of the entire production and distribution process.
Key Responsibilities for Storeperson 2025
- Receive, check, and process all incoming goods and deliveries, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Maintain up-to-date records of stock and delivery documentation.
- Ensure food and non-food items are correctly stored and rotated according to FIFO (First In, First Out) principles.
- Deliver stock items from the warehouse to the production and dispatch areas efficiently and timely.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for internal distribution and airline clients.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts (training can be provided).
- Adhere strictly to food safety, hygiene, and company standards.
- Work collaboratively with fellow warehouse and production team members to ensure seamless workflow.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience in a warehouse or food manufacturing environment is beneficial but not essential.
- Possession of a valid forklift license is desirable. If not already certified, we are willing to assist the right candidate in obtaining one.
- Must be physically fit and capable of lifting moderate loads throughout a shift.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Reliable, punctual, and a positive attitude toward work and team collaboration.
- Must be eligible to work in New Zealand and able to pass any required background checks.
Shift Work and Flexibility
- This is a full-time position requiring flexibility to work various shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Shift patterns may vary depending on flight schedules and operational requirements.
