Overview:

Work Setting: The work is required to be completed at the physical location of the restaurant. There are no remote work options available for this position. Job Description: Burger King is seeking a dedicated and energetic Shift Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure the smooth functioning of our fast-paced restaurant environment. The Shift Manager will play a crucial role in leading a team of food service workers, ensuring top-notch customer service, and maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and safety.

Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Supervision:
   • Establish methods to meet work schedules and delegate responsibilities effectively.
   • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff involved in food preparation, portioning, and serving.
   • Foster a positive work environment, ensuring teamwork and efficiency among employees.
2. Training and Development:
   • Train new and existing staff on job duties, sanitation practices, safety procedures, and company policies.
   • Offer continuous feedback and support, helping team members improve their performance and grow professionally.
3. Operational Management:
   • Estimate ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring adequate stock levels at all times.
   • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to support effective inventory management.
   • Prepare and submit operational reports, including food order summaries for the chef.
4. Quality Control and Customer Service:
   • Ensure food and service meet Burger King’s established quality control standards.
   • Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns promptly, ensuring a positive guest experience.
5. Recruitment and Scheduling:
   • Participate in hiring food service staff, ensuring the selection of qualified candidates.
   • Establish and manage work schedules to maintain adequate staffing levels, considering operational demands.
6. Compliance and Safety:
   • Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to, maintaining a clean and safe environment for staff and customers.
   • Supervise the assembly of trays and other food items, ensuring accuracy and presentation align with company standards.

Supervision:

• Directly supervise a team of 3 to 4 employees per shift.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

• Fast-paced environment, requiring the ability to multitask effectively.
• Work under pressure during peak hours.
• Combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the shift.
• Standing for extended periods and walking as necessary.
• Physically demanding role that may require lifting supplies and performing cleaning duties.
