Job Overview:
Maintenance Services Representative (MSR) – Panasonic Avionics New Zealand Limited (PANZL), a subsidiary of Panasonic Avionics Corporation (PAC), is a global leader in in-flight entertainment, communication systems, and aircraft maintenance. Based in Auckland Airport, this full-time position involves providing aircraft maintenance and support services, ensuring the airworthiness and safety of aircraft systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Aircraft Maintenance and IFE Support: Conduct inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and repairs on aircraft systems, parts, and components, including electrical systems, engines, and frames.
- Defect Rectification: Perform built-in tests (BIT) and manual tests using specialized electronic equipment.
- Routine Inspections: Perform routine pre-flight line maintenance checks on engines, frames, and mechanical systems.
- Documentation & Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, replacements, and modifications performed.
- Spare Inventory Tracking: Assist in preparing and tracking spare parts inventory.
Required Qualifications:
- Certification: AQF Certificate IV in aeroskills or equivalent trade certificate in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering.
- Experience: At least 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience as a licensed engineer.
- Licensing: Must hold or qualify for a CASA, CAANZ, CAAS, GCAA, or EASA license with type ratings for aircraft like B737, A320, A330, B777, B787, A380, and B747-400.
- Security Clearance: Must be able to pass security background checks and obtain a red ASIC.
- Flexibility: Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
Work Environment:
- Exposure to high noise levels and extreme weather conditions.
- Manual dexterity required for working with tools, parts, and equipment.
