Overview for Live-in Caregiver (Child Care)
Languages Required: English
Education: High school diploma (or equivalent)
Experience: 1 to less than 7 months
Key Responsibilities
- Take full charge of household responsibilities in parents’ absence.
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
- Shop for groceries and household essentials.
- Accompany the family on trips and assist with childcare and housekeeping tasks.
- Handle laundry, including washing, ironing, and pressing clothes and linens.
- Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children.
- Follow parental methods to discipline children.
- Teach children about hygiene and social development.
- Keep detailed records of children’s daily activities and health.
- Maintain a safe and healthy home environment.
- Organize activities like games and outings for children.
- Prepare children for rest or nap times.
- Supervise and care for children.
- Transport children to and from school or appointments.
- Support children’s emotional well-being.
- Help children with homework.
