About the Role:

This Permanent Heavy Diesel Fitter position involves maintaining and repairing heavy mining equipment as part of a professional maintenance team. You will work in either a workshop or field setting, performing diagnostics, scheduled servicing, and essential repairs.

Responsibilities for Heavy Diesel Fitter

  • Conduct maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of heavy mining equipment.
  • Collaborate with the team to meet maintenance schedules.
  • Adapt to workshop or fieldwork as required.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Cert III in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).
  • Experience with light vehicles, forklifts, and small mobile plant equipment is an advantage.
  • Training or experience with OEM equipment (e.g., Komatsu, Hitachi, Liebherr, or Caterpillar) is highly valued.
  • Forklift and HRWL licenses are a plus.
  • Background in heavy road transport maintenance is beneficial.
  • Ability to pass or hold an Order 43 Pre-Employment Medical Certificate.
  • Competency with programs like Microsoft Office and SAP is desirable.
