Position Responsibilities for General Farm Worker Jobs 2024

As a General Farm Worker, you will play a vital role in our pig farming operations. Your responsibilities will include:

Animal Care: Feeding and tending to pigs, monitoring their health, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Facility Maintenance: Pressure washing, cleaning, and preparing rooms, as well as general facility upkeep.
Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records, including door charts, inventory trackers, and feed/medication orders.
Teamwork: Collaborating with colleagues to achieve production goals while adhering to safety and animal welfare standards.

Ideal Candidate:

We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual with a strong work ethic. The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Physical ability to lift up to 25kg
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts
Previous hog production experience is an asset but not required
