About the Role:
As a Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing data-driven processes within the energy management team. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring seamless data flow across various systems and empowering data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Extraction and Integration: Develop and maintain robust procedures to extract data from diverse sources, including databases, APIs, and other relevant systems. Consolidate this data into the company’s centralized databases for efficient analysis and reporting.
- Data Analysis and Feature Engineering: Conduct in-depth exploratory data analysis (EDA) to gain valuable insights into data trends and patterns. Execute feature engineering techniques to prepare data for machine learning models and enhance model performance.
- Machine Learning Model Development and Deployment: Leverage state-of-the-art machine learning methodologies to develop and fine-tune predictive models. Deploy these models into production environments to automate tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Data Visualization and Reporting: Create, develop, and maintain insightful Power BI reports to effectively communicate data-driven findings to stakeholders across the organization.
- Analytical Tool Development: Participate in the development of innovative analytical tools that streamline daily operations within the department.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven working experience in a Data Engineering role is essential.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Azure: Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory and Databricks is crucial.
- SQL Expertise: Demonstrated proficiency in SQL for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
- Python and PySpark (Nice to Have): Experience with Python and PySpark will be highly advantageous for data processing and analysis.
- Machine Learning and Deep Learning (Nice to Have): Knowledge of machine learning and deep learning algorithms will be beneficial for model development.
