Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced retail environment? Eagle Heavy Duty Parts Inc. is currently seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a cashier. This is a full-time, permanent position located at our Winnipeg, MB location.

Job Location:
Unit 8 – 1559 Brookside Boulevard, Winnipeg, MB, R2R 1V6
Workplace Type: On-site (Remote work is not available)

Salary:
$24.00 per hour
Work schedule: 30 to 40 hours per week

Job Requirements

Language Requirement:

  • English (proficiency in spoken and written communication is necessary)

Educational Qualification:

  • A secondary (high) school diploma or an equivalent certification

Experience Requirement:

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred

Work Conditions and Environment:

  • Dynamic, fast-paced workplace
  • Physically demanding at times, requiring standing for long hours
  • Must be comfortable working under pressure, particularly during busy hours

Responsibilities and Duties

As a cashier at Eagle Heavy Duty Parts Inc., you will be responsible for handling transactions efficiently while providing excellent customer service. The key duties include:

  • Operating a cash register efficiently and accurately
  • Processing payments, including cash, credit/debit cards, and cheques
  • Scanning merchandise and ensuring accurate pricing
  • Calculating total payments for purchases made by customers
  • Receiving payments for goods and verifying transactions
  • Reconciliation of daily sales transactions at the end of each shift
  • Welcoming and assisting customers with their purchases
  • Properly wrapping and bagging merchandise to ensure safe handling
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization at the checkout counter
