Waiter/Waitress

We are currently seeking to hire a Waiter/Waitress (Luxury) to be based in Doha, Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional service to guests at one of Qatar Duty Free’s luxury restaurants and must be able to interact with guests in a friendly and efficient manner.

As a Waiter/Waitress, your main responsibilities will include:

• Setting tables by arranging napkins and ensuring that condiments refilled according to the standard.
• Staying up-to-date with the current menu options, specials, and deviations in order to make the right recommendations to guests and maximize sales opportunities.
• Also, Greeting and assisting customers upon arrival, presenting menus, suggesting dishes. And taking orders based on guest preferences, assisting with drink selection, informing customers about daily specials, offering desserts and drinks, serving food, clearing chinaware and glassware, checking guest satisfaction, ensuring that the sequence of service is followed.
• Further, Presenting receipts to guests upon request, accepting payments, and handing them over to the cashier.
• Moreover, Answering phone calls and assisting with restaurant reservations, confirming reservations with guests, and recording reservation details in the restaurant logbook.
• Also, Completing daily checklists at the beginning and end of the shift to ensure that all tasks are completed throughout the shift.
• Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by a supervisor to ensure that the restaurant is well maintained according to hygiene standards.
• Collecting comment cards from customers and handing them over to a supervisor/manager for attention and necessary actions.
• Assisting with special events as needed to support operational requirements.
• Furthermore, Actively using up-selling techniques to exceed guest expectations and increase average spending per customer.

Requirements :

• High school qualifications,  Also, with a minimum of 2 years of job-related experience in food and beverage service within leading restaurants or hotels in the hospitality industry.
• Computer literacy.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Knowledge of HACCP.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including an outgoing personality, positive attitude, and strong communication skills.
• The ability to take responsibility, handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and be efficient.
• The ability to react to challenges and also, operational incidents quickly.
• A passion for food, beverage, and service.
• The ability to stand for long periods of time.
• The ability to work well in a team.
• The ability to work shifts is essential.
• Also, The ability to work in a busy environment and work well under pressure.
