Job description
- As the Assistant General Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the restaurant and bar, ensuring smooth and efficient service for guests.
- As an Assistant General Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring and managing the stock control and gross profit margins of the restaurant and bar team. This will involve analyzing data and making decisions to ensure that the business is operating efficiently and maximizing profitability

The Assistant General Manager will be in charge of the daily operations of the restaurant and bar, working closely with the Head Chef to ensure seamless and efficient service. They will also be responsible for managing and motivating a team of up to 150 staff to provide top-notch service to guests. Additionally, the AGM will involved in all aspects of stock control and gross profit margins
- Furthermore, the Assistant General Manager will have experience in managing high-volume lunch and dinner services, as well as after-drinks operations
- As Assistant General Manager, you will be expected to constantly come up with new ideas to improve the restaurant’s operation and maintain the brand’s standards. You will also need to pay close attention to detail, ensuring that every aspect of the restaurant’s operation meets the highest standards
- As an Assistant General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and bar team. As the Assistant General Manager, you will manage a team of up to 150+ staff and collaborate with the Head Chef. You will oversee stock control and monitor gross profit margins. Your responsibilities also include generating new ideas, ensuring attention to detail, upholding brand standards, training staff, handling pressure, and promptly resolving problems
The ideal candidate will have the following qualities:
- At least 2-3 years of experience as an Assistant General Manager in a hotel or restaurant environment
- A background in quality dining food
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with fresh produce
- Experience managing high-volume services and teams
- Knowledge of fine wines, spirits, and cocktails
- A focus on attention to detail
- Flexibility to work late nights and manage live bands and DJs
- Self-motivated
- Ability to communicate with senior managers and directors
- Also, Good understanding of health and safety and food hygiene
- An upbeat and friendly personality
- Strong organizational skills and a passion for delivering excellent culinary service to clientele.
The ideal candidate should possess excellent organizational skills and a strong commitment to providing top-notch culinary service to clients. They should have a track record of success in high-end 4 or 5-star hotels or restaurants. Additionally, they should be proficient in fine wine, spirits, and cocktail knowledge, with a focus on attention to detail.
The ideal candidate should be experienced in managing teams, working in high-volume dining environments, and dealing with fresh produce. They should have strong communication skills and be self-motivated, able to handle working under pressure and to think on their feet. They should also have a good understanding of H&S and food hygiene practices, with a friendly and upbeat personality
