1. Production Helper

Jobs Summary

Responsible for aiding a designated machine operator or production team with a range of tasks such as maintenance, clean-up, yard work, warehousing, production, utilities, material handling, and others.

Important Duties and Responsibilities

Handle assignments in a repeated and/or sequential way in order to complete tasks assigned
Maintain a clean work environment, use security equipment at all times, and adhere to all safety rules.
Notify the supervisor immediately of any dangerous situations or malfunctioning equipment.

Clean-Up

During downtime, clean up machinery and conveyors, maintain the surrounding environment, and keep equipment clear of trash.
Clean the floors and collect useful scrap for salvage.
Remove garbage and clutter from production areas.
In charge of keeping pallets nice and ordered.

Production / Utility Equipment

At all times, operate machinery or equipment as taught and directed, while adhering to safety rules.
Assist the lead operator with the preparations for shift production.
Work closely with the lead operator to learn the mechanics and functioning of the equipment you will be assisting.
As allocated, may be needed to work with conveyors, ramps, elevators, and other equipment such as hoppers, bagging and sealing machines, forklifts, palletizers, hydraulic equipment, powered tractors or vehicles, and so on.
These duties need internal certification/training.
Use a range of hand tools.

Warehouse / Yard

Assist with truck loading and unloading.
Assist in the completion of shipping/receiving paperwork
Product packaging and labelling must be done correctly.
Take care of stocks
Check the loads that are departing the premises.
Product inventory should be maintained, verified, and counted on a regular basis.
Other job-related activities and responsibilities may be allocated on a temporary or permanent basis as needed.

Qualifications

The knowledge, skills, and/or abilities necessary are represented by the prerequisites given below. Qualifications / Education / Experience

a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience
The ability to read and understand simple instructions
Ability to use common sense to carry out extensive but uncomplicated written or spoken instructions
capability of adhering to corporate production and safety regulations
Read a restricted number of two and three-syllable words and notice similarities and differences between words and series of numbers
Capable of passing internal certification training Capable of printing and speaking simple phrases
Ability to add and subtract two-digit integers, as well as multiply and divide by tens and hundredths
Lock out/tag out methods must be demonstrated.
It is necessary to maintain a key lock on hand at all times.
Weekly safety meetings must be attended.
A necessity of the employment is that you be present on a regular basis.

Physical Prerequisites

The person will be needed to remain on their feet for lengthy periods of time while executing the tasks of this job.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds from ground level, and occasionally up to 100 pounds with help if necessary.
