This position is for a Warehouse Loader with a salary range of $16.50 to $18.75/hour + shift differential and incremental pay increments.

1. Warehouse Loader

SUMMARY OF THE JOB:

The Warehouse Loader employee will transfer material, product, and supplies across the plant using a powered industrial vehicle (PIT) or clamp truck in a safe manner. They will load completed product and supplies onto trailers, coordinate material deliveries across the factory to ensure minimal machine downtime, and execute routine machine cleaning. They understand and link company operations and the Warehouse Department as he or she executes their position to surpass customer expectations and fit with GPI’s business, cultural, financial, and operational goals.

WORK SCHEDULE: 7:00 P.M. – 7:00 A.M. NIGHT SHIFT (either C or D shift)

Must be willing and able to work nights, weekends, and holidays. There are opportunities to switch to a day shift schedule!

JOB FUNCTIONS:

Some examples of job functions include, but are not limited to, the following.

Maintain and uphold GPI’s fundamental principles of Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Relationships, and Teamwork.
Operate the PIV/forklift safely.
Accept all paper, boxes, machine components, and lid plastic.
Provide departments with the materials, products, and resources they require.
Use the RF computer system to convey merchandise precisely and on schedule.
Trailers must be loaded and inspected.
Process deterioration.
Check that the balers are working properly.
To process rolls, use up-enders.
Clean spaces and machinery on a regular basis.
Use the floor scrubber.
Responsible for ensuring that goods meet specified food safety, sanitation, and quality requirements.
Other responsibilities as assigned

HISTORY / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:

Manufacturing experience of 1 to 2 years is desired.
PIV/forklift experience is desirable.
PIV/forklift training must be completed; training will be supplied by the department.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SCHEDULE:

Warehouse patterns can include up to 12-hour hours on alternating days, with weekends off rotated. Employees must, however, be able to work various schedules and overtime, which may entail working early mornings, nights, and/or weekends, and be prompt while doing so.
Must be willing and able to work extra hours.

FITNESS REQUIREMENTS:

Climbing up and down the PIV up to 130 times in a 12-hour period
Sitting or standing for lengthy periods of time, depending on work assignment.
Uncomfortable and/or repeated motions
Occasional Lifting weights of up to 50 lbs.
Push/pull wheeled carts having a load capacity of up to 1,600 lbs.
Reading the screen of a computer or other electronic device.
Hand and electrical tools and equipment are used.
Work in temperature-changing environments.
