Launched and established in 1966, the FWO includes active project managers and social scientists and engineers. Since its inception in 1966, it has been named after the construction of bridges, roads, tunnels, airports and dams in Pakistan, at the behest of the Pakistani national government.
Its objectives include projects related to engineering, construction, combat, construction, and military engineering and directed by Maj Gen Kamal Azfar. FWO led the construction and construction of the Karakoram Highway. Build military and military infrastructure for the Government of Pakistan and the Pakistani Army.
