Role Overview:
As a Warehouse Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for ensuring that vending machine restock orders are accurately prepared and delivered efficiently. The role involves picking and packing orders, managing inventory, and ensuring the warehouse is organized and operational at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Packing Vending Machine Restock Orders:
- Efficiently pack bins and boxes for refilling vending machines.
- Accurately pack orders for wholesale pantry customers.
- Highlight out-of-stock items on pack sheets and notify the manager.
- Use handheld devices to pick and pack stock, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Restocking and Inventory Management:
- Regularly restock shelves and bins to maintain inventory levels.
- Participate in monthly stock takes and other inventory counts as required.
- Forklift Operation and Manual Handling:
- Safely operate a pallet straddler forklift to manage inventory and assist in the movement of goods.
- Handle and unload trucks manually, ensuring the careful handling of all products.
- Warehouse Organization:
- Clean and organize the warehouse as directed to maintain a safe and efficient workspace.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall warehouse operations.
What We’re Looking For:
We’re searching for a reliable and motivated team player who takes pride in their work. The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment.
- Ability to handle manual tasks and lift heavy items.
- Proficiency with handheld devices for stock management.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Forklift license (preferred but not essential).
Pre-Employment Requirements:
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
- Proof of right to work in New Zealand.
- New Zealand driver’s license (preferred).
