We are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our farming team as Farm Assistants in Matamata, Waikato. What Does a Farm Assistant Do?
As a Farm Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our poultry. Your daily responsibilities will include feeding, monitoring, and maintaining the birds’ environment. This position requires individuals who can work effectively in a team and contribute towards achieving the highest standards of farm operations.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Poultry Handling: Ensuring birds are handled with care and following animal welfare guidelines.
- Egg Collection: Gathering eggs and preparing them for transportation to our hatchery.
- Feeding Schedules: Ensuring all poultry receive the correct feed at appropriate times.
- Shed Maintenance & Cleaning: Keeping sheds clean and preparing them for new poultry arrivals.
- General Farm Duties: Assisting with various farm-related activities to maintain an efficient and productive work environment.
- Health Monitoring: Observing birds for any signs of illness and reporting concerns to supervisors.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of daily activities and farm conditions.
- Biosecurity Compliance: Adhering to all farm biosecurity protocols to prevent disease and contamination.

Work Schedule & Compensation
- Working Hours: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (Full-time role, with rostered weekend work required)
