About the Role
As a Civil Labourer at Shadforth, you will be involved in a range of tasks to support the successful completion of various projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing work sites and assisting tradespeople.
- Spotting machinery to ensure safety on site.
- Concreting and basic construction tasks.
- Installing and maintaining fencing.
- Reading and interpreting plans and blueprints.
- Operating basic power tools and small plant equipment.
- Performing manual lifting and handling of construction materials.
- Supporting pipeworks, drainage, and minor structures.
What We Are Looking For
We seek motivated individuals with the following qualities:
Previous experience in manual outdoor labouring or civil labouring (highly regarded).
Ability to perform repetitive manual handling tasks, including moderate to heavy lifting.
Availability to work Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM, with occasional Saturday shifts.
A current driver’s license and reliable transport (essential).
Mobile Plant Tickets and relevant industry experience (highly regarded).
A strong commitment to workplace safety and following industry regulations.
Ability to work well in a team and take direction from supervisors.
