The Role: Pharmacy Assistant
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Pharmacy Assistant to join our friendly team. In this role, you will provide excellent customer service, assist in sales, and support the store manager and pharmacist in ensuring smooth operations. The role requires an individual who is adaptable, proactive, and passionate about helping customers find the right products for their needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service & Sales
- Provide exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their inquiries and purchases.
- Offer advice on natural health supplements, skincare, cosmetics, and OTC medications.
- Process transactions efficiently and accurately at the checkout.
- Promote and sell New Zealand-made health and beauty products.
- Assist customers in selecting the right fragrances, sunglasses, and gift items.
- Build strong rapport with local and international customers, ensuring repeat business.
Retail Operations & Stock Management
- Assist the store manager in executing retail promotions and store displays.
- Ensure shelves are well-stocked and organized for an inviting shopping experience.
- Process and manage overseas orders, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy.
- Maintain store cleanliness and presentation.
Pharmacy Support
- Work closely with the pharmacist and pharmacy owner to support daily operations.
- Ensure that all regulatory and safety guidelines are followed when handling pharmacy products.
- Assist in processing prescriptions under the guidance of the pharmacist.
- Keep up to date with product knowledge to assist customers effectively.

- Problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Understanding and empathy for diverse cultures and customer backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in pharmacy, health, or beauty retail is a plus.
- Knowledge of natural health supplements and skincare products.
- Ability to speak Mandarin is an advantage due to the diverse customer base.
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer skills.
