Key Responsibilities for Fruit Farm Worker 2025
The role of a fruit farm worker is centered around the cultivation, maintenance, and harvesting of fruit crops. Duties include but are not limited to:
Primary Tasks
- Preparing soil for planting.
- Planting, cultivating, and irrigating crops.
- Pruning and thinning fruit trees and bushes.
- Harvesting fruits and ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Sorting and grading fruits for quality control.
- Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment.
- Identifying and reporting signs of pests or diseases affecting crops.
- Operating machinery such as tractors and sprayers for efficient farm operations.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the worksite.
Specialized Tasks
- Assisting with crop rotation planning to optimize yield.
- Monitoring soil and water quality to ensure proper growth conditions.
- Employing sustainable farming techniques to align with environmental goals.
