Key Responsibilities for Fruit Farm Worker 2025

The role of a fruit farm worker is centered around the cultivation, maintenance, and harvesting of fruit crops. Duties include but are not limited to:

Primary Tasks

  • Preparing soil for planting.
  • Planting, cultivating, and irrigating crops.
  • Pruning and thinning fruit trees and bushes.
  • Harvesting fruits and ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
  • Sorting and grading fruits for quality control.
  • Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment.
  • Identifying and reporting signs of pests or diseases affecting crops.
  • Operating machinery such as tractors and sprayers for efficient farm operations.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the worksite.

Specialized Tasks

  • Assisting with crop rotation planning to optimize yield.
  • Monitoring soil and water quality to ensure proper growth conditions.
  • Employing sustainable farming techniques to align with environmental goals.
