Detailed Job Responsibilities for Nursery Labourer Jobs
The nursery labourer will perform tasks related to the cultivation and maintenance of plants, trees, and crops. These responsibilities include:
Primary Tasks
Budding and pruning trees. Cleaning and maintaining crops. Cutting horticultural crops. Mixing and applying fertilizers. Weeding garden beds and fields. Spraying or dusting plants with insecticides and fungicides. Mixing and preparing soils for planting. Potting and re-potting plants. Transplanting seedlings or rooted cuttings. Monitoring and reporting signs of insect or disease damage. Assisting in grafting activities. Digging up and wrapping the root balls of trees and shrubs. Watering and tending to plants, lawns, and gardens. Cleaning and organizing work areas. Clearing and collecting brush and debris from fields, pens, and other areas.
