Location: Margaret River, Bunbury & South West WA

Salary: $35 – $37 per hour

The Garden Basket is seeking motivated and capable Produce Handlers (Pick Packers) to join our dynamic team in Margaret River. If you have a passion for fresh produce and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!

Role Overview:

As a Pick Packer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient packing and distribution of high-quality fruits and vegetables. This position requires teamwork and a commitment to maintaining our high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shift Requirements: Available to work late afternoon to early morning shifts (5 PM start, working through to early AM) within a team of multiple packers.
• Hours: Minimum 20 – 40 hours per week, with a flexible roster. Must be available for some weekends and throughout the holiday period.
• Communication: Utilize strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively within a team.
• Attention to Detail: Pay close attention to detail to ensure accuracy in packing orders.
• Health & Safety Awareness: Maintain a general understanding of health, safety, and wellbeing practices in the workplace.

Candidate Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Driver’s License: A valid Australian driver’s license is required.
• Residency: Ideally, you should be an Australian resident looking for a long-term role.
• Location: Must reside in the Margaret River region with stable accommodation.
• Experience: Prior experience as a picker/packer is advantageous, although not mandatory.
• Physical Capability: Be comfortable lifting weights and performing manual handling tasks.
