Position Overview: Financial Accountant

We’re seeking a Financial Accountant to join a high-performing finance team. In this role, you’ll work alongside the Financial Controller, offering financial support and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the finance department. This role provides valuable exposure to both financial accounting and business partnering, perfect for accountants looking to broaden their experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end processes, manage profit and loss accounts, and support multiple branches.
• Partner with internal stakeholders and branch teams to drive financial performance.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, journals, and accruals.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and provide cashflow reporting.
• Ensure statutory compliance and manage annual audits.
• Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts.
• Participate in ongoing projects to streamline processes and improve systems.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Experience: 3+ years in an Assistant Accountant or Accountant role, or public practice experience.
• Qualifications: Partly or fully qualified CPA/CA.
• Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and strong technical accounting skills.
• Attributes: High accuracy, strong organizational skills, proactive mindset, and ability to work under deadlines.
