Shift Hours: Sunday to Friday, 1:00 AM – 6:50 AM (Saturday off)

Kumar Holdings & Associates Limited is a proudly Waikato-owned and operated business. We are currently seeking experienced and reliable Class 5 truck drivers to join our dynamic team. This role involves working closely with our operations manager, director, and team members to ensure seamless logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities
As a Class 5 truck driver at Kumar Holdings & Associates, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Loading and Unloading: Carefully maneuver trucks into position, use lifting and tipping devices, and verify loading documents, including weighing before and after loading goods.
- Safety Checks: Conduct regular checks on vehicles to ensure safe operation, secure loads properly, and inspect for faults or defects.
- Delivery Management: Collect and verify delivery instructions, plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules, and make timely and accurate deliveries.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records, including logbooks and fuel card documentation, and report any accidents, defects, or violations promptly.
- Flexible Duties: May include metro, line haul, or floating duties, with some long-distance travel and potential overnights.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates must:
- Hold a Class 5 Full New Zealand Driver’s License with Dangerous Goods endorsement and a clean driving record.
- Possess at least 3 years of truck driving experience (HC or Class 5 preferred).
- Forklift License: Have an OSH-endorsed forklift license or be prepared to obtain one.
- Drug and Alcohol Screening: Willing to undergo and clear pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to handle physical tasks related to loading, unloading, and driving.
Note: This full-time position is unsuitable for individuals on a student visa or those seeking part-time or casual work.
