About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Class 2 Truck Driver to join our Wellington branch. This full-time role involves delivering and picking up chilled and frozen products throughout the Wellington region. Candidates should have a minimum of 6 months of Class 2 driving experience and experience handling temperature-controlled products. As the face of Big Chill on the road, you’ll need excellent customer service and communication skills.
Working Hours: Monday to Saturday, starting at 6:00 AM.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Handling: Safely deliver and pick up chilled and frozen products within the Wellington region.
- Support Loading/Unloading: Assist the Stores team in organizing and handling products for transport.
- Route Management: Work closely with dispatchers to ensure on-time deliveries while following temperature control standards.
- Compliance: Adhere to delivery schedules and temperature guidelines to maintain product quality.
Requirements
- Class 2 Driver’s License: Valid with a minimum of 6 months’ experience.
- Temperature-Controlled Transport: Experience in refrigerated/frozen goods handling.
- Organizational Skills: Strong time management to meet delivery schedules.
- Customer Service: Ability to engage professionally with customers, representing Big Chill with a positive attitude.
