About the Opportunity

Roading and Building Recruitment (RB Recruitment) is looking for skilled drivers and operators for an exciting, large-scale 2-year project in Gisborne. This role involves handling a variety of plant and machinery on multiple roading construction sites, making it an excellent opportunity for those with experience in civil driving and operating roles. You’ll be joining a dedicated team and gaining stable, long-term employment with plenty of hours and ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities

As a driver and operator for this project, your duties will include:

• Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance and pre-start checks on assigned vehicles and machinery to ensure optimal function.
• Machinery Operation: Drive and operate various plant and construction equipment safely and professionally on roading sites.
• Material Transport: Safely drive trucks to transport materials, equipment, and team members to and from job locations.
• Physical Labor: Participate in on-the-ground tasks as needed to support the team and keep projects running smoothly.

Candidate Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must:

• Hold a Valid Class 2 New Zealand Driver’s License (Class 5 is highly desirable).
• Have WTR Endorsements (Wheels, Tracks, and Rollers).
• Experience: At least 2 years in civil driving or operating roles.
• Reliable Transportation: Have your own dependable vehicle for daily commutes.
• Safety-Focused: Strong awareness of health and safety practices.
• Drug Screening: Be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
