Role Overview: Vendor Controller
We are currently seeking a Vendor Controller to join our team in Welshpool. In this essential role, you’ll be responsible for managing vendor interactions at our Rebuilds site through the OnTrac contractor management system, ensuring compliance and efficiency in vendor operations. Reporting to the Forecast Planning Supervisor, you will act as the primary point of contact for vendors, facilitating a seamless workflow between vendors, the workshop team, and WesTrac operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Vendor Coordination: Serve as the main contact for vendors performing machine-related tasks, coordinating with planning teams to ensure operational efficiency.
- Compliance Verification: Ensure vendors have current licenses and site permissions, adhering to safety and compliance standards.
- Quote Management: Obtain and manage quotes for purchase requisitions (PR) as needed.
- High-Volume Environment Management: Oversee up to 13 active bays, managing multiple vendors in a fast-paced environment.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Maintain strong working relationships with supervisors, vendors, and stakeholders, addressing challenges through effective communication and problem-solving.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Candidates with the following qualifications and experience are likely to succeed in this role:
- High-Volume Mobilisation Experience: Background in mobilising vendors and resources in high-activity settings.
- Site and Warehouse Administration: Experience in high-volume warehouse or site logistics.
- Conflict Resolution Skills: Ability to manage conflicts and resolve issues effectively.
- Independent and Team Player: Capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent Communication and Organizational Skills: Ability to coordinate with multiple teams and stakeholders in a demanding role.
