Position Overview
As a Business Officer at PacifiCan, you’ll lead key initiatives to support regional economic growth. From engaging with diverse stakeholders to guiding clients toward funding opportunities, this role is ideal for individuals experienced in business consulting, economic development, and project management.

Key Responsibilities:
- Convenor: Connect regional stakeholders and drive strategic investments.
- Pathfinder: Connect businesses and economic organizations to federal funding programs.
- Advisor: Inform policy and program decisions through insights into economic issues.
- Investor: Guide clients to access funding programs and other financial resources.
Required Qualifications
- Education: A degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Economics, Public Administration) or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- Experience:
- Analyzing information and advising stakeholders.
- Building collaborative relationships with businesses and communities.
- Leading economic development projects and managing project life cycles.
Preferred Qualifications (Asset)
- Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Public Administration, or related field.
- Experience engaging diverse stakeholders, including municipalities, Indigenous communities, and not-for-profits.
- Knowledge of Grants and Contributions Programs and stakeholder management software.
