Key Responsibilities

As a truck driver with HGC, you’ll work on-site with responsibilities that include:

  • Customer Service: Deliver goods professionally as part of a team or convoy.
  • Driving and Operating: Transport goods using refrigerated and articulated trucks.
  • Vehicle Inspection: Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
  • Documentation: Maintain logs, track fuel consumption, and handle bill of lading documentation.
  • Navigation and Safety: Use GPS and ensure the security of cargo.

Requirements

  • Language: English
  • Education: No formal degree required
  • Experience: An asset, but not required.

Certifications

  • Licenses: AZ Class License, Air Brake Endorsement

Type of Equipment

  • Refrigerated trucks, tractor-trailers
  • Communication Systems: CB radio, GPS, on-board trip recorder

Additional Requirements

  • Security: Valid passport, basic security clearance, criminal record check
  • Travel: Must be willing to travel cross-border, overnight, and for extended periods.
