Overview

Languages Required: English
Education: High School Diploma
Experience: 3 to 5 years in welding

This is an on-site position requiring all tasks to be completed at the physical location. The environment may be noisy.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret welding specifications and processes
• Operate manual, semi-automatic, and fully automated welding and flame-cutting equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, manuals, and specifications
• Examine welds to ensure they meet required standards
• Operate metal shaping, straightening, and bending machinery
• Fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal, and assess weldability of materials

Experience and Specialization

Welding Techniques:

• Oxy-Acetylene Welding (OAW)
• Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW)
• Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG)
• Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW)
• Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW)
• Plasma Arc Welding (PAW)
• Submerged Arc Welding (SAW)

Work Conditions

• Environment: Fast-paced, physically demanding, requires manual dexterity
• Physical Requirements: Handling heavy loads, standing for extended periods, repetitive tasks, hand-eye coordination
• Equipment Needed: Steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses, gloves, mask, face shield, welding helmet
