Job Overview
Advanced Truck and Crane Ltd. is seeking experienced Truck Drivers for immediate, full-time positions. Our company specializes in stone slinger, concrete mixing, and special purpose trucks. You’ll be part of a professional team, providing essential transport services, and ensuring the safe delivery of goods and materials. Key Responsibilities
- Driving & Maintenance: Operate straight trucks (4,600kg+ with 3+ axles) and specialized vehicles like stone slingers and concrete mixers.
- Customer Service: Address customer complaints or concerns professionally.
- Inspections: Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections, ensuring the vehicle is in excellent working condition (brakes, lights, tires, etc.).
- Mountain Driving Expertise: Safely navigate mountainous terrain when required.
- Transport: Handle and transport dangerous goods following safety protocols.
- Load/Unload: Manage loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring proper tarping and securing of goods.
- Paperwork & Documentation: Maintain logs and reports, including accident, dangerous goods, and inspection reports.
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance to ensure vehicle longevity and safety.
- Dispatch Communication: Relay information to central dispatch and follow directions closely.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 2-3 years of experience as a truck driver (preferred in heavy loads, special-purpose trucks, or concrete mixing).
- Licenses & Certifications:
- Air Brakes Endorsement
- Class 1/1F/A License (semi-trailer trucks)
- Class 3/3F/DF License (vehicles with more than 3 axles)
- Documentation Expertise: Proficiency in maintaining accident, incident, and dangerous goods reports, as well as logbooks and inspection documents.
- Specialized Skills: Experience in handling dangerous goods and hazardous environments is an asset.
- Mountain Driving: Required for navigating mountainous terrains with expertise.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Location: On-site in Abbotsford, BC (no remote work).
- Physical Demands: Ability to handle heavy loads (up to 45kg/100 lbs).
- Work Conditions: Dusty environment; repetitive tasks.
- Tools/Equipment: Must bring own tools (gloves, cellular phone) and wear steel-toed safety boots.
