Role Overview:
As a Cleaner at Mercy Place Keon Park, you will be playing a crucial role in maintaining a clean and hygienic environment for elderly residents. Your daily responsibilities will involve ensuring the facility is well-kept, following strict hygiene and safety standards.
Cleaner Key Duties:
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing common areas, resident rooms, and restrooms.
- Ensure that all cleaning is done in compliance with infection control guidelines to maintain the health and well-being of elderly residents.
- Work independently while ensuring high cleanliness standards in accordance with the facility’s protocols.
What You Bring:
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
- Experience in cleaning or housekeeping roles, preferably within healthcare or aged care settings.
- A strong ability to work independently and maintain consistent cleanliness standards.
- A sense of compassion and empathy towards elderly residents, understanding their unique needs.
- Experience working in aged care or health environments (this is desirable but not essential).
In addition, you’ll need:
- NDIS Clearance or the ability to provide proof that you’re in the process of obtaining it.
- A current COVID-19 certificate, proof of influenza vaccination, and compliance with other vaccination requirements, consistent with public health orders.
