About the Role
We are looking for a driven Health and Safety Business Partner to take the next step in their career. This role is based in Mount Maunganui, with travel to Invercargill, and offers flexible working arrangements. Reporting directly to the Senior Health and Safety Manager, you will play a key role in implementing health and safety strategies, driving continuous improvement, and promoting a proactive safety culture within the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coach and support managers on best practice health and safety systems, cultural initiatives, and processes.
- Offer practical, timely advice to maintain a robust safety environment.
- Ensure all health and safety systems align with company policies and are consistently applied across New Zealand.
- Lead audits, assist with emergency preparedness, and investigate incidents to enhance safety protocols.
- Use data-driven decision-making to support injury recovery initiatives and share best practices across the organisation.
Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual with a strong understanding of business acumen and a proven track record in fostering relationships across all levels of an organisation. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the evolving health and safety strategy.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum Level 4 Health and Safety qualification.
- Experience in critical control implementation and verification.
- Demonstrated success in a Health and Safety Business Partner role.
- Auditing experience with ISO standards (advantageous).
- Strong ability to prioritise strategy, with excellent business acumen and a proactive approach.
