Key Responsibilities
- Trading Operations: Engage in trading activities between global suppliers and major food and beverage manufacturers in Australia and New Zealand.
- Market Research: Conduct thorough market analysis and contribute to group initiatives as directed by management.
- Supplier Liaison: Maintain strong relationships with procurement managers and global suppliers to ensure a consistent supply chain.
- Reporting: Prepare weekly reports and participate in new business development initiatives.
- Travel: Domestic and international travel will be required for client and supplier engagement.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Experience: 5+ years in international trade, export/import sales, commodity trading, or B2B sales.
- Industry Networks: Established networks within the agri-food industry are a plus.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities in English.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, particularly in costing and budgeting.
- Organizational Skills: Strong time-management skills, flexibility, and the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
- Travel Availability: A willingness to travel internationally to serve clients and suppliers.
