Overview
Dunphy’s Poultry Farm Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Farm Manager to oversee our layer poultry farming operations in Keswick, New Brunswick. Languages: English
Education Requirement: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Previous experience in farming or agriculture is an asset.
Responsibilities
As a Farm Manager, you will be responsible for managing animal handling, feed inventory, monitoring animal health, maintaining machinery and equipment, and overseeing the overall operation of the farm. Your tasks will also include purchasing machinery and supplies, maintaining financial and production records, and recruiting and supervising staff or volunteers.
Work Environment
This role is on-site in a rural area, with a focus on layer poultry farming. Candidates should be prepared to work in hot conditions with potential odours, as well as the demands associated with livestock and poultry production. Relocation assistance may be provided.
Work Conditions
The position requires attention to detail and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks. This includes bending, crouching, and standing for extended periods, as well as handling heavy loads in a fast-paced environment. Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination are essential for success in this role.
