Outlier is at the forefront of AI innovation, partnering with leading organizations to enhance AI models through human feedback. We are looking for experienced software engineers to lend their coding expertise in training generative artificial intelligence models.

About the Opportunity:

Contribute your skills remotely, with flexible hours to work when it suits you best.
Engage in diverse projects that involve interacting with AI models as they learn to code.
No previous AI experience is necessary.

Responsibilities:

Crafting Questions: Develop and answer computer science-related questions to help train AI models effectively.
Code Evaluation: Assess and rank code generated by AI, providing valuable feedback to improve performance.

Desirable Expertise:

Education: Currently enrolled in or have completed a bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science from a selective institution.
Programming Languages: Proficient in one or more of the following: Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C++.
Communication Skills: Ability to articulate complex concepts fluently in English.
Attention to Detail: Strong focus on grammar, punctuation, and adherence to style guidelines.

Compensation:

Average pay rates for Tier 2 coding experts in the U.S. are around USD $30 per hour.
Rates may vary based on expertise, skills assessment, location, and project needs.
Incentive payments may be available for certain projects, and payment terms will be outlined for each project.

Important Information:

This is a 1099 contract position; therefore, we do not offer internships, sponsorship, or employment.
