About the Job:
This role involves working on a large-scale project requiring top-notch welding and fabrication skills. As a trade-qualified engineer (boilermaker, fabricator, or sheetmetal worker), you will need extensive experience in an industrial setting, working primarily with ARC welding, steel plates, and pipes (including balustrades and safety rails).
The project is expected to run for 3-6 months, with possible opportunities for extension based on performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Precision Fabrication: Work on a large project with both steel plates and pipes, ensuring top-quality fabrication.
- ARC Welding: Perform 4G ARC welding (must pass a pre-start weld test).
- Blueprint Interpretation: Ability to fabricate both with and without drawings.
- Industrial Experience: Prior experience working in an industrial setting is essential.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Trade Qualification: Must hold a qualification in Fabrication, Boilermaking, or Sheetmetal (proof required).
- 4G Welding Test: Must pass a 4G ARC welding test before starting the role.
- Fabrication Expertise: Demonstrated high-level skills in pipe and plate fabrication.
- Blueprint Reading: Experience fabricating with and without detailed drawings.
- Attention to Detail: Precision and attention to detail in all fabrication and welding tasks.
- Clean Background: Must have a clean criminal record and pass a drug and alcohol test.
