Boilermaker Job Opportunity in Paterson Lakes, Victoria (AUD $70,000 per year)

Power Horizon International Resources is seeking a qualified Boilermaker – FCAW MIG to join their team in Paterson Lakes, Victoria, Australia. This is a great opportunity for an experienced boilermaker to work on challenging projects and contribute to a growing company.

Job Responsibilities:

• Cut, shape, bend, position, align, and weld parts to fabricate complete units according to specifications.
• Verify conformance of workpieces to specifications and engineering drawings using measuring equipment.
• Locate appropriate bending and cutting lines, allowing for material thickness, machine welding shrinkage, and other factors.
• Interpret engineering drawings to determine equipment requirements and task sequences.
• Move parts into position manually or with hoists.
• Set up and operate hand and power tools, fitting equipment, pneumatic tools, measuring devices, pressure gauges, and welding equipment.
• Construct boilers, pressure vessels, and tanks to meet Australian Standards and/or client requirements.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Boilermaker
• Vocational Diploma or Short Course Certificate in Boilermaking or a related field
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong understanding of trade technology
• Ability to read and understand AutoCAD and Inventor drawings (a plus)

Experience (Preferred):

• Positional welding using FCAW MIG wires
• Meeting inspection requirements and passing visual, ultrasonic, and X-ray testing
• Working with limited supervision
