Western Financial Group, one of Canada’s leading insurance providers, is seeking a qualified Commercial Insurance Broker to join our dynamic WEB team in Winnipeg, MB.

In this exciting role, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional insurance solutions to a national portfolio of small businesses. You will collaborate with a team of experienced advisors, offering our innovative WEB program to clients under a designated premium threshold.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Client Relationship Management: Proactively manage client accounts, ensuring all activities are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Product Expertise & Carrier Relationships: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, product knowledge, and build strong relationships with insurance providers to secure the best coverage for clients.
  • Policy Administration & Compliance: Review client data, invoices, and coverage selections for accuracy and compliance.
  • New Business & Renewals: Process new business applications, renewals, and issue certificates of insurance.
  • Sales & Growth: Conduct outbound sales calls and identify upselling opportunities to contribute to business growth.
  • Professional Development: Continuously develop your skills through industry training, community involvement, and participation in relevant courses.

We’re looking for someone with the following qualifications:

  • Proven Insurance Experience: Minimum of a General Insurance Level 1 License (P&C) with a strong desire to obtain your Level 2 License (CIP or CAIB preferred).
  • Sales Success: Proven track record of achieving sales targets in a team environment.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of insurance policy wordings and coverage options.
  • Computer Proficiency: Adept at navigating multiple software programs simultaneously, with experience in EPIC a plus.
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range: $45,000 – $67,000 per year
  • Comprehensive benefits package including health spending account, company-matched RRSP/TFSA programs, 14 wellness days, and 3 weeks’ vacation
