Taxation Accountant/Intermediate Accountant – 482 Visa Sponsorship Available

Our established CA Accounting Firm, with an 18-year history, is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Intermediate Taxation Accountant to join our team. We are a modern and progressive firm deeply rooted in the community, with three offices across Melbourne and a team of 22 employees, including 6 CA & CPAs. We offer a diverse range of services, including Tax Compliance, Structuring, SMSF, Business Advisory, Commercial Support, and Wealth Management.

Job Details
- Locations: Choose between our CBD or William Landing office.
- Work Environment: Enjoy a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
- Position Type: Permanent, full-time, with an immediate start date.
- Salary: $85,000 – $95,000 per year + super
- Visa Sponsorship: 482 visa sponsorship is available.
Responsibilities
- Conduct face-to-face meetings and provide general tax law advice, explaining tax consequences.
- Foster key relationships and assist clients with their accounting needs (client groups typically consist of 10-20 business entities with turnovers ranging from $2 million to $20 million).
- Review Business Activity Statements (BAS) and business income tax returns.
- Prepare financial statements for various entities (companies, partnerships, trusts).
- Prepare year-end working papers.
- Research and interpret complex tax issues.
- Train and mentor junior staff.
- Prepare due diligence reports and cash flow projections for new business purchases.
- Demonstrate solid knowledge of business structures and tax implications.
Required Skills and Experience
- Ability to analyze, upgrade, and streamline complex processes for improvement.
- Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Highly motivated and able to work autonomously.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an Australian public practice.
- Proficient with XERO, XPM, and BGL.
- Willingness to learn and develop skills further.
- Excellent English communication skills, including hosting face-to-face client meetings, especially for tax planning.
- Experience working in industries such as healthcare, construction, and IT.
