• Salary: $35.00 per hour
• Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week) with flexible hours including Day, Evening, Early Morning, and Morning shifts
• Start Date: As soon as possible

Key Responsibilities:

• Network Operations & Monitoring: Utilize master consoles to proactively monitor computer system and network performance, ensuring optimal uptime and efficiency. Coordinate network access and usage to optimize resource allocation.
• Data Center Management: Load and manage computer tapes and disks, ensuring data integrity and security. Install software, printer paper, and forms for efficient operation.
• Technical Support: Troubleshoot network issues and provide problem-solving support to network users. This may involve resetting passwords, resolving connectivity problems, or diagnosing basic software issues.
• Security & Compliance: Implement and maintain data, software, and hardware security procedures to safeguard sensitive information and network integrity.
• System Administration: Perform routine network startup and shutdown procedures, maintain accurate control records, and ensure system stability.
• Network & Internet Connectivity: Configure and maintain local area networks (LANs) and establish secure connections to the internet.

Qualifications:

• College, CEGEP, or other technical diploma in a computer networking or information technology program (or equivalent experience).
• 1 year to less than 2 years of experience as a computer operator, network technician, or similar role.
• Proven ability to operate computer systems and troubleshoot basic network problems.
• Excellent understanding of computer hardware and software, including MS Office, MS Windows, spreadsheets, and social media platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A valid Canadian work permit or the ability to legally work in Canada is required.
