Seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Educator (ECE) for our childcare center in Calgary, AB. Join our team to nurture and support children’s holistic development while enjoying comprehensive benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Bathing, diapering, and feeding infants and toddlers
- Designing and executing child-care programs fostering physical, cognitive, emotional, and social growth
- Engaging children in storytelling, songs, and local educational excursions
- Assisting educators in record-keeping and facilitating activities like storytelling, song teaching, and crafting
- Encouraging creative expression through art, play, music, and physical activities
- Guiding children in developing healthy habits and maintaining daycare equipment
- Observing and reporting potential learning or behavioral concerns to parents and supervisors
- Establishing behavior guidelines and collaborating with co-workers and service providers
- Ensuring a secure, healthy environment for children’s well-being
Requirements:
- Certificates: Child development assistant (ECE level 1), Child development supervisor (ECE level 3), Child development worker (ECE level 2), Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate
- Security and safety: Criminal record check, Vulnerable sector check
- Personal suitability: Dependability, Interpersonal skills, Reliability, Team player, Values and ethics, Ability to multitask
