The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a seasonal farm worker starting March 15th, 2024. This is a full-time position offering 40 hours per week with competitive pay ($16.75/hour) and the chance to be part of a rewarding experience.

What You’ll Do:

• Plant, cultivate, and irrigate a variety of fruit and vegetable crops.
• Hand harvest fresh produce with attention to detail and quality.
• Maintain and operate farm machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist with greenhouse and crop cleaning tasks.
• Train fruit trees for optimal growth and yield.
• Weed and hoe crops, ensuring healthy growth and a thriving farm environment.
• Detect and address potential disease or pest problems in crops.
• Work as part of a collaborative team, contributing to a positive and productive farm atmosphere.

What You Bring:

• 5+ years of experience in farm work, ideally with fruit and vegetable cultivation.
• Proven ability to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
• Strong physical stamina and endurance for a demanding outdoor role.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a passion for sustainable agriculture.

Seasonal Farm Worker Bonus Points:

• Experience with specific farm equipment (tractors, planting equipment, etc.).
• Knowledge of organic farming practices and principles.
• Valid Canadian work permit.
